Briose cu stafide - Brioches with raisins

  • 400 g flour .
  • 1 cup of sugar.
  • 200 ml of milk.
  • 2 egg yuk.
  • 200 g of butter.
  • 2 tbsps yeast.
  • little of salt.
  • 50 g of sesame seeds.
  • 100 g of raisins.
  • 50 g of nuts.

How to make it:

  • Melt the butter with milk, let the milk to cool a little bit ,then add yeast.
  • Let yeast ,let yeast with milk about 5 minutes then give them a quick little mix.
  • Add salt , sugar and egg yolk and mix them very well.
  • Start adding flour and keep mixing.
  • Place the dough in your working place and knead it with your palms about 5 minutes.
  • Put the dough into a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. 
  • Let the dough to rise about 40 minutes until double the volume.
  • Spread the dough with your rolling pin making form of rectangle .
  • Brush the dough with some melted butter.
  • Spread raisins and nuts over the dough and roll it.
  • Brush the end of the dough with some egg yolk ,then finish rolling. that should help it to stick.
  • Cut the dough about one inch and place it into the baking tray.
  • Let the brioches to rise again about 30 minutes before baking them.
  • Preheat the oven then brush the brioches gently with egg wash.
  • Sprinkle over them some sesame seeds.
  • Put the brioches into the oven about 20 minutes until become golden brown.
